PAST measure j chair | public health professional | MOM of 2 TODDLERS | SPREADSHEET ENTHUSIAST
The thing to know about me is that I’m a do-er. I value transparency, efficient problem solving, and clear processes.
What does that mean professionally?
I have two decades of public health experience. The bulk of my work has focused on adolescent health, reproductive and sexual health, workforce development, and social determinants of health. I’m currently the Director of Programs for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, where I’m leading asthma intervention programs in over 5,000 schools across the midwest.
Public service is core to who I am. Beyond my extensive non-profit experience, I’m the recent past Chair of the Measure J Commission with the city of Palm Springs. I am the Chair of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. I’m a founding board member of People for Palm Springs Parks, a community advocacy organization. I also serve on the Sunflower HOA in Sonora Sunrise.
But most importantly, I’m an enthusiastic resident and homeowner in District 4. I have lived in the Desert since 2011. I have two small kids who love going to city parks. We are library regulars. I walk our local trails. I’ve purposely made my life here. It would be an honor to serve on Council to help make sure that a thriving Palm Springs life is possible for all of us.
